CR Remover: is there an APK, is it safe, and what are the limits?

There is no CR Remover APK, and there never was

CR Remover is a hosted service, not an app. The work — rebuilding the audio and visual fingerprint layers of a file — runs on our own machines with hardware encoders. An Android handset cannot do that job in a reasonable time, and it certainly cannot do it inside a 30 MB installer, which is roughly the size of the files being passed around under the name.

Because the processing is remote, an app would be a thin wrapper around a web page. It would add an install step, an update treadmill and a permissions prompt, and it would remove nothing. That is why we never shipped one, and why we have no plans to.

Every file advertised as a CR Remover APK, mod APK, cracked APK, premium unlocked or v3 is therefore published by somebody else, using our name without permission. We cannot see what is inside those builds and we do not stand behind any of them.

Is it safe to put my footage through the website?

Uploads go straight into private storage that is not publicly listable. Nobody browsing the site can reach your file: access is limited to your own account and the editor assigned to your order, and finished files are handed over through signed links that expire within minutes rather than through permanent public URLs.

The connection is HTTPS end to end, including the upload itself, which is chunked so a dropped connection resumes from the last confirmed byte instead of exposing a half-written file. Source files are removed once an order has been delivered and its retention window passes — we are not building a library of your footage.

The honest limit on privacy: an assigned editor can open your video, because a human quality check is part of the service. If a clip is confidential to the point that no third party may view it, this is not the right tool for it.

Limits, formats and how long it takes

• File size: up to 2 GB per project on the upload page. Larger masters should be exported to a delivery-grade file first — a 4K master and a 1080p export produce the same fingerprint result.
• Formats: the usual camera and editor outputs, including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI and WebM. Output comes back as MP4 (H.264) so it is ready for every platform without a re-export.
• Length: no hard cap. A full-length film takes proportionally longer than a short, because the work is per frame and per second of audio.
• Speed: most clips are processed automatically within minutes. Videos are worked one at a time, so at busy hours an order waits in the queue before it starts — the order page shows its real stage the whole time.
• Devices: a phone browser works exactly like a desktop one. The upload, the live status and the download all work on mobile, which is the only thing an app would have offered.

When this tool is not the answer

It does not give you rights in someone else's material. If you are publishing a full episode or an entire song, the copyright question is a legal one and no fingerprint work changes that.

It does not withdraw a takedown a human has already filed, and it does not remove a strike already on an account. Those are decided by the rights holder and the platform.

It does not come with a permanent guarantee. Matching systems are updated continuously, and anyone promising a forever result is selling something they cannot deliver. What it does reliably is stop the automated match that causes the great majority of claims.
